Techpoint is a specialist supplier of ICT contractor services to both the Public and the Private Sector in the ACT, NSW and Queensland.  We are a member of ITCRA (the Information Technology Contract & Recruitment Association) and committed to its standards and code of practice. Techpoint’s management has a strong background in the IT industry across Australia. Its Managing Director; Tony Peppercorn has been in the IT industry for over 35 years, 20 of those as an IT contractor himself.  He is able to draw on an extensive network of contacts in Canberra. His background is primarily in applications software, in a variety of roles such as Analyst Programmer, Business Analyst and Project Manager. He began work for the Commonwealth Public Service Board as a permanent employee and went on to work on a wide variety of projects in the Health Insurance Commission (HIC), Aboriginal Development Commission (ADC), Centrelink and the Australian Taxation Office.

Tony’s recruitment experience within the IT industry dates back to his management positions within HIC and ADC. AT HIC he was often selected for interview panels as he had developed a reputation for selecting quality candidates. He consolidated his recruitment experience at ADC as head of computing and was also involved in some recruitment activities as a contractor at the ATO.
